Take the rind from the lime and scrub the spot and the rust should be gone. Remove Water Rings on Wood Furniture: Take a damp cloth and add a little toothpaste, not the gel kind, or mayo and rub around the ring gently. This should remove the moisture that is trapped under the surface. Once the ring is gone pol- ish your piece of furniture.

Carpet Freshener: This is a great way to keep those carpets fresh and make the house smell wonderful. Take a cup of dried herbs, such as lavender, rosemary or whatever you prefer and mix it with 1 teaspoon of ground cloves, then add 1 tea-spoon of ground cinnamon and finally 2 teaspoons of baking soda. Mix these ingredients in a jar and then sprinkle on your rug. Let it sit for an hour or two (which works if you don’t have pets or kids running around at the time) and then vacuum up.

Dry Laundry Soap: You will need 1 bar of shaved bar soap (Dr. Bronner’s, ZOTE, or Fels-Naptha) 1 cup of borax, and 1 cup of washing soda.
Stir ingredients thoroughly.
Use 1 tablespoon per load of laundry.
