How to store kiwis?

✔️ Store the kiwis in a cool room
Ideal for storing your kiwis for longer than a month? Place them as they are, on a tray, in a cool room, between 5 ° C and 10 ° C: the fresh air will stop the ripening of your fruits. On the other hand, do not place them in a warmer place… unless you want to taste them very quickly, the same evening!
If your kiwis live alongside other fruits, such as apples and bananas, beware: these may cause them to ripen faster. This is because they give off ethylene, a gas known to accelerate fruit ripening. Finally, your kiwis will keep for two to three weeks at room temperature, depending on their initial degree of ripeness.
✔️ Store the kiwis in the refrigerator
The easiest way to store kiwi fruit? Place them in the fridge! Removed from their packaging and placed in the crisper of your fridge, they will keep for up to four weeks. At least if it is fresh fruit that is slightly immature and still firm … Also, take a look at the temperature in your fridge every now and then.
For optimal conservation, it should not exceed 4 ° C. Then, you are free to taste your kiwis as you see fit: as a sweet snack, cut in half and savored with a spoon, for example! To keep your kiwis for up to six months, bet on freezing! Select fruits that are slightly immature, with hard flesh. Peel them gently with a peeler, then cut them into slices one centimeter thick. Then place them on a plate resistant to low temperatures.
Be sure to space them out from each other: in the cold, the fruit pulp gains volume!
Cover the baking sheet with baking paper and place it flat in the freezer for 2 hours. Once the time has elapsed, place the pieces in a freezer bag and place everything in the freezer.
